Addiction is an illness in its own right and could cause the victim from achieving goals or reaching acceptable standards in different spheres of life due to too much stickability. It is mainly a repetition of excessive behavior, more often negative ones, and the addict finds it very difficult to stop despite the harmful consequences.

It could be psychological addiction to narcotics addiction, tobacco addiction, alcohol cravings, online gambling addiction, watching too much television, sexual addiction, binge eating or similar things. The victim usually feels deprived when an effort to stop is applied. This is simply because the behavior has become a habit which makes satisfying the craving a must. Some specialists consider habits as expressions of aggressive and erotic impulses with little or no voluntary control. Fingernail biting, eyebrow pulling, overeating are some of the classic examples that are often overlooked till they get to a precarious level.

The precursors to this malady vary and could be acquired, or as a result of condition that progressively escalates and becomes chronic and hence reflected in an individual or group.

How to overcome this malaise could be very difficult and challenging, whether it is the physical form or psychological. It requires discipline, patience, and positive active support in an organic, efficient manner. Many usually go back to the old ways when vulnerable which makes the approach used counterproductive, hence making the best choices on how to overcome this problem is essential, in a rather customized way as everyone is different, just as we all have distinct DNAs and fingerprints.


The basic steps you need to take include recognizing yourself and circumstances clearly, improve faculties and abilities and then advance towards the said goal. Finding elements in your nature that are established to lead and fulfill main objectives and recognizing inclinations existing for sublime human causes is vital. Find self, identity and essence by searching from within and thereafter making necessary adjustments that will ultimately take you out of your predicament-It helps a lot in this and other areas of life as well!
